In July 2008, Jakub Vágner and his teem went on a successful expedition to the world’s biggest salmon fish, Taimen. The expedition was taking place at the border between Mongolia and Russia, in the basin of the Lower Yenisei River.

The expedition caught 17 Taimen with a length of over 120 cm. Jakub Vágner caught record-breaking Taimen with a length of 146 cm that became to be the largest fish ever caught in this river and the 3rd biggest Taimen caught in the whole Mongolia.
