Himantura chaophraya

In May 2009, Jakub Vágner organized an expedition to the basin of the river Bang Pakong in Thailand. The aim of this expedition was to catch the Giant freshwater stingray with the Latin name Himantura chaophraya.

During the 14 day expedition, two pieces were caught that were impossible to be weighed, because of their great dimensions. The weight of the bigger one was estimated at 160-190 kg.
