In January 2010 Jakub Vágner and his teem went on a breakthrough expedition to Lake Turkana in Kenya. The aim was to map the population of the Nile perch. Turkana Lake, the world’s largest desert lake, is probably hiding the biggest perches in the world.

In December 2009, Jakub Vágner caught a trophy pike 141 cm long. In December 2009, Jakub succeeded to catch several big pikes during the 3 days fishing on ice in his homeland - Czech Republic. The biggest of them had 141 cm.

In May 2007, Jakub Vágner went on a successful expedition to Alligator Gar to Texas. During the 14 day expedition, several gars could be caught weighing more than 70 kg. The biggest piece was a gar with a weight of 90 kg.
